A bit sweet and very fruity. Apricot nectar dominates the aroma as well. Pours a medium amber with a small and quickly recending one finger white head. Lively carbonation washes the tongue and leaves little aftertaste. kuphish (161), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 18, 2009 Bottle. Poured a small, fizzy white head with a golden body. A little wheat malt on the nose with a ton of apricot. Light, thin body with fizzy carbonation and a lightly bitter finish. Taste was dominated by apricot flavor with a touch of tartness. Overall a pretty boring fruit beer that would work well as a "summer refresher", but not much else. amp811 (38), Charleston, South Carolina, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/20 | Mar 18, 2009 Of all the mainstream fruit beers, Sea Dog is the company that never fails to deliver. I was a little frightened by the aroma, as it smelled like it would be overly sweet. However, the apricot taste was just subtle enough. It was definitely there, but not overpowering. Nor was it overtly fake. This is a very refreshing beer after working outside all day. The ladies love Sea Dog.
Having said that, let me be specific as to why my rating is lower than my review has warranted: if you want to have a crisp, refreshing beverage, Sea Dog is great. If you want to have a beer, search elsewhere. dkachur (2414), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Feb 15, 2009 12oz bottle from Willow Bend Liquors (Tampa, FL). Pours a generally clear dark yellow to amber color with a one finger white head that settles slowly and does not provide lacing on the glass. Aroma is sweet and floral with strong notes of apricot with some medicinal fruit notes, floral hops, some honey. Flavor is sweet and floral as well with medium notes of ripe fresh fruit, some hints of honey, caramel and malt, and some other notes of spice. Generally light body with a fruity finish. blipp (1710), Newark, New Jersey, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Feb 2, 2009 Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. Dried apricots, with an abundance of sugary sweetness. Very one sided. Wouldn’t be awful if you really like dried apricots. Nuffield (2724), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 18, 2009 I had this under the Kennebunkport label. Basic amber color. Really strong apricot aroma, like apricot jelly. Less pronounced flavor, where the underlying beer is obvious. This seemed like a mediocre beer base with a big additive. Not bad if you like the additive.
