Sea Dog Apricot Wheat Beer

I had this under the Kennebunkport label. Basic amber color. Really strong apricot aroma, like apricot jelly. Less pronounced flavor, where the underlying beer is obvious. This seemed like a mediocre beer base with a big additive. Not bad if you like the additive.

clear orange with no lacing under a small fizzy white head. mild apricot aroma. flavor has lots of apricot sprite soda. syrupy and soda-like palate. medicinal finish.

Clear amber with a frothy white head. Big canned apricot juice aroma. Light/medium body. Flavor is the same, canned apricot nectar with a taste of tart wheat in the finish. Girly fruit beer, the old lady loves it.

[Bottle] Pours a dark golden color with plenty of white head. Wow, this is the most potent fruit aroma I have ever experienced. Heavy fake apricot aroma was not as bad as it sounds. The taste, however, was just as strong. Any malt or wheat character in this beer is completely masked by the very strong apricot taste. Sweet and cloying all around. Syrupy. There is nothing subtle about this beer, as the commercial description might suggest. Will not buy again.

Pours a copper color with a soapy white head. Aroma is very strong of Apricot. Taste was equally as fruity, a bit weak, and not really all that wheaty. Very girlfriend friendly.

Copper with weak head. Unnatural apricot flavor with weak wheaty/yeastyness. Light bodied, metallic, and watery.

Pours copper with a thin white head. Smells of apricots and wheat. Tastes of apricot syrup and wheat.

Poor color, taste, and smell. Was expecting something somewhat sweeter. There was a taste of apricots, but it tasted sour. Will not be purchasing again.
