ABV is not stated on the bottle, but the festival programme says it’s 4.8%. Crystal clear deep golden to amber colour, moderate head, fizzy. Distinct aroma of blueberries and raspberries, also notes of candy with said artifical flavourings. Thin mouthfeel. The flavour is wheaty with notes of blueberries, otherwise fairly bland with minimal hops. Not very sweet. Drinkable, but not very exciting. slf245 (50), USA

Bar Harbor blueberry has barely a hint of fruit flavor, while a Boston Brew Works brew, with fresh blueberries in the glass, is extremely fruity. This I will put in between- sweet and fruity, but not too much to override the actual taste of the beer itself. But you have to be in the mood for the fruit. urnamesucks (92), New York City, New York, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 20, 2008 I bought this blueberry flavor after the better competitors were sold out. I found this at a distributor a few blocks away I never knew existed until 3 hours ago. Good berry flavor, not very syrupy, but not as good as some of the competition. I would recommend it if you have never had blueberry beer before, but if you’ve had Bar Harbor or Atlantic’s versions this is not as good. Slightly too carbonated. If you want a good blueberry ale go to Boston beerworks. After having that I’ve ruined all the rest. DuffMan (2769), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada

Much to sweet and candyish. Nothing has topped PumpHouse (Moncton, Canada) for a blueberry beer so far! MesandSim (5940), London, Greater London, England
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 17, 2008 A Mes rate: Bottle at GBBF. Darkish gold with a thin white film. Sweet blueberries and cream is all I can say about this. There is absolutely no mistaking what fruit is used here, although it remains reasonably restrained and in actual fact leaves me wanting a little more. Possibly a little thin in the body but that just makes it effortless to drink and really refreshing. Although this was never going to get a huge score, mid session at GBBF it really hit the spot.
