| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Jul 25, 2008 Smells like blueberries, but in a funky off-kilter way. Not a good aroma. Flavor is initially strong with blueberries and not too much wheat. Finish peters out in fruit flavor, but picks up in carbonation. I don’t really like it. markwise (1200), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 20, 2008 This is a nice wheat beer, but it is too sweet. It has a nice aroma of blueberries and fruit. It has an almost overwhelming fruit sweetness that is a bit unbalanced. It is ok, but not the best fruit beer. TaktikMTL (2786), Montréal-Nord, Quebec, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 15, 2008 En fût. (Rating #1790) BrianDorry55 (117), Spring Hill, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 15, 2008 Aroma of blueberry pancakes...which could quite possibly be the best smell in the world, so definately a positive in that category. Decent head, amber color, clear. Flavor is pretty good...Blueberries and maybe a bit doughy, I cant put my finger on it so I could very possibly be wrong. Ive had two blueberry beers now...Sweetwater Blue is definately better. But this one isnt bad. Im now convinced that Sea Dog is easy on the palate, which I enjoy. Overall it was pretty good...a bit better than the apricot wheat...but not quite up to the standards of Sweetwater Blue. But I enjoyed it, would drink again....Now on to the Pale Ale! | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 9, 2008 Bottle. Pour is a clear amber with just a bit of a head and lively and fizz-like carbonation. Aromas are thick with blueberries and reach my nose as I just begin to pour. Closer examination reveals that there is something a little funky lurking in the background, but I have no idea how to describe it. Just that it is a little off-putting. Flavor is like a blueberry spritzer or something with a watery beer backbone and a wierd aftertaste. Wheat? where??? Meh... Heathen (810), Riverside, New Jersey, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jul 6, 2008 THOUGHTS: A very simple base beer that is sort of ruined by a fake blueberry infusion. I don’t think I’d ever have this one again. I know they say they use real blueberries but something about this beer is fake.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a clear, medium yellow with an average-sized, fizzy head that fully diminished but somehow left fair lacing. The aroma was blueberry and slight chemicals. The initial flavor was light to moderately sweet; while the finish was lightly sweet and acidic and ever so slightly sour. The flavor was all fake blueberry and chemicals. The light to medium body was fairly dry with lightly fizzy carbonation and a light to moderate astringent and slightly metallic finish.
