When I smelled the nose on this beer, my inital reaction was...Whoa! That’s some serious blueberries in that nose. Thinking that the aroma would blow over, I was very pleased to find that it kept the same blueberry profile thru the entire beer. Sure it was one-dimensional. Still, for a beer to say blueberries and then deliver said blueberries on the nose is pretty cool. The rest of the beer was average at best.

The appearance was a clear medium gold color, with a ultra thin whispy cap that eventually went away completely. Mouthfeel was thin. Flavors had a nice refreshing dose of blueberries, but it was also soapy. Reminded me of some kind of foo-foo, girly body soap my wife would use. Easy to drink the first one, but I’d think that after one the blueberry assault would get a bit old.

Smells good like blueberry muffins. Pours dark yellow/golden color with 2 inch head that lasts less than 1 minute. Tastes like artificially sweetened blueberry brew. Then settles down. Couldn’t be beat for breakfast!

Pours yellow/orange, cloudy. Rather strong blueberry aroma. Rather artificial aroma, but it reminds me of blueberry muffins with the fake blueberry flavor in them. And I like that, so whatever. Flavor is rather sour with some citrus qualities from the wheat and a strong blueberry flavor. I really dig it.

Mildly cloudy golden color with a white head. Has a strong blueberry aroma and light blueberry taste. Very crisp and refreshing.

A LOT of blueberry tastes come from this beer. It’s not something I’d have often...but every now and then it’d be a good change of pace beer.

I had this as a Kennebunkport Blueberry Wheat Ale from Trader Joe’s. The pour is a darker golden filtered look. A decent head appeared that receded but the thick lacing stuck around a while. The smell of blueberry is immediately prevalent when I opened the bottle and continues in the glass. Medium small mouthfeel. There is some blueberry in the flavor but also some "off" saltine-ish, plasticky flavor you find in some marginally well-produced wheat beers. There is also a distinct wheat after taste that I don’t much care for.

Poured Golden, almost no head. Blueberry taste all over this one. Light and refreshing change. Has a little acidic bite at the end if you quench you thirst with this one to fast. Would be a good beer in the summer time for a change up.

I also had this under the Trader Joe’s Kennebunkport Blueberry Wheat name. This is basically a macro beer like Bud Light with blueberry added. Pours an average light yellow w/white head. No hops, no malt, no barley, no bitterness. What it does have is massive blueberry, though. Wonderful blueberry aroma, and nice blueberry taste in the background. No sweetness, though. This is not a dessert beer, and is not sweet in any way. Great blueberry taste/nose, but otherwise a very plain beer. Bought two 12 ounce bottles @ $1.00 each at Trader Joes in Milwaukee.
