| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 20, 2009 This beer has a clear, lighter flavor, too light for me. You expect more cloudiness and bold wheat flavor from a wheat beer. You don’t get much bluebes or wheat until late in the sip. Snojerk321 (2021), San Diego, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 11, 2009 Bottle. Pours with a clear yellow color. Aromas are pure blueberry. Flavor is more subtle than the aroma suggests, so the beer is well balanced and not totally overpowered by the fruit. A very refreshing summer beer. tarheels86 (808), Washington DC, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Sep 8, 2009 Bottle. Pours a darker gold with a temporary white head. Nose of blueberry pancake mix, some wheat, cereal, corn. Taste of blueberry muffins up front and then fades to stale cereal, lemon, seltzer water. Interesting. As far as blueberry beers go, this is one step above say AB’s Wild Blue, which is disgusting. astrofrk (219), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Sep 7, 2009 Copper. Smalll, fast head. Aroma: Light blueberry, sweat. Flavor: Blueberry, sweat. No body, no finish!
Sorry guys, I just wasn’t impressed with this beer. It was like the blueberries were mashed over a Sumo-Wrestling match and thrown into a tank of swill. Sea Dog has done far better than this. Perhaps teenage girls will like it. italarican (170), Astoria, New York, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 4, 2009 Pours a somewhat thin gold with standard white head. Aroma was tart fruit, mainly blueberry and strawberry, slightly artificial. Wheat flavor with a touch of blueberry. Overly fizzy on the tongue. Slight tart finish. Not bad. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 1, 2009 A: Poured with a small, white head that diminished to a 1/4-finger size immediately. Body is clear, with a nice, dark-golden color.
S: Yep, there’s the blueberry. I’ve had some blueberry ales that had a milder blueberry aroma than this one, yet luckily it’s not overpowering. Quite nice, actually.
T: Moderately sweet, of blueberry (obviously), and light hints of wheat as well. I was expecting more blueberry taste from the smell, so I was pleasantly surprised - it’s not cloyingly sweet at all.
M: Medium-bodied, with a slightly thin texture. Average carbonation.
D: A pretty good summer beer, here. Not sure I could put back a lot of any type of fruit beer, but this is definitely one of the better blueberry ales I’ve had. boFNjackson (1322), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 30, 2009 Tap... Poured hazy golden with a white head. Blueberry on the nose. Flavors of bready malts and yeast with a blueberry-bread sweetness. Very medicinal and unbalanced. smart001 (44), Scott AFB, Illinois, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Aug 27, 2009 [bottle poured into weizen] Aroma is a lot of blueberry. Lots of it. It quickly mellows though to light blueberry. head is non-existant except for extremely thin white covering at very initial pour. Pours a dark see-through gold. mouthfeel is lightly bubbly, but not as bad as it looks in the glass. Finish is a little bitter. Overall, while I know this is a blueberry beer, I do not like the overpowering aroma of the Blueberry.
