CelticBrew (469), The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA Apr 11, 2008 12oz bottle poured golden with a short white head that faded quick. Aroma is of blueberries. Like something freshly picked in the summertime. Flavor is less prevalent blueberry and yeast blended with grains. Very light and almost artificial on the palate.
Slipstream (360), USA Sep 5, 2008 Nice amber pour with a 1-finger head. Sweet berry aroma with a little macro nastiness. The flavor is very pleasant - blueberries shine thru clearly, and there is a nicely articulated wheat ale taste also. This is a good fruit-wheat brew, and I recommend it to drinkers who like this style. kitschy (128), Nebraska, USA Aug 28, 2008 In bottle, labeled as Kennebunkport, from Trader Joe’s. Light amber color with frothy head that dissipates. Confusing nose starts out with blueberry, then turns wheat yeasty. Flavor is more bitter than expected, but the hops yield to blueberries. Taste is akin to what I think a beerbatter waffle topped with blueberry syrup would be. Interesting. improvjock (46), USA Aug 27, 2008 Smells like a blueberry muffin, and sorta tastes like one...in beer form. Pours a golden yellow with little to no head. Actually, it was kinda flat. This was fun to try once, but not something I’d drink regularly. ucusty (1077), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Aug 27, 2008 gold pour fluffy off white head and some spotty lace. Aroma is mostly berries. Thin bodied with flavors of grain, wheat, blueberries and hops Sigmund (1938), Hafrsfjord, Norway Aug 25, 2008 12 fl. oz. bottle, bought at the GBBF 2008 for takeaway. ABV is not stated on the bottle, but the festival programme says it’s 4.8%. Crystal clear deep golden to amber colour, moderate head, fizzy. Distinct aroma of blueberries and raspberries, also notes of candy with said artifical flavourings. Thin mouthfeel. The flavour is wheaty with notes of blueberries, otherwise fairly bland with minimal hops. Not very sweet. Drinkable, but not very exciting.
