shackinetics (124), Florida, USA Apr 11, 2008 Pours a light gold amber with thin head. Strong blueberry fragrance and some yeast/biscuit. Distinct but not overwhelming blueberry flavor. Very clean, a bit thin & watery, but very drinkable. MUCH more mild and more to my liking than say SA’s Cherry Wheat which i feel is WAY overpowered.
FROTHINGSLOSH (1509), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 6, 2008 Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured an amber color with a large yellow-white head. The aroma was strong blueberry with a hint of light malts underneath. THe flavor was exceptionally tart, bitter and tangy with a vague berry note. The finish was short and very tart. Interesting. Bella68 (21), Alabama, USA Oct 5, 2008 Tried this at Mellow Mushroom with friends. One guy really liked it. Yellow. White, yet weak head. I loved the blueberry aroma, but unfortunately, it didn’t linger much. Kinda thin and overall, not extremely impressive. Was fun to try however. marcus (1051), Sacramento, California, USA Sep 29, 2008 This amber ale poured with a thick off-white head and a blueberry aroma. There is also a distinct blueberry taste over a modest caramel malt base. This is a refreshing brew, but not particularly tasty. oreogobbler (173), Austin, Texas, USA Sep 29, 2008 Kennebunckport? Pours completely transparent with no head.
Blueberry and wheat, a blueberry muffin if you will! But not as satisfying. Sweet and flat.
The flavor is tart sweet with some sour wheat, caramel, blueberry, and a bland finish.
Palate is thin and watery. Drinkable, but only in a situation in which I had to. borgination (78), Lee, Massachusetts, USA Sep 28, 2008 Nothing to write home about, but at the same time, I liked this fruit beer. Blueberries were significant in the flavor and partly so in the aroma. However, they weren’t dominating among the sweet malty base of the beer.
