Under the kennebunkport brand. Courtesy of maniac. Pours a clear dull yellow with decent offwhite head. Nose of fake sweet lemoncake. Flavor of lemon pledge and fake medicinal lemons. Very bitter fake finish. Amazingly buttery. Not very good, but not horrible.

12oz Kennebunkport Trader Joe’s alias version. Orange-tan, with a sligth haze. Patchy white head. Lemony sweet malt aroma. Sub par stuff here. Soda-like body, with a crisp lemony twang over top of a caramel malt body. Drinkable, only due to the low ABV. I really wonder if the Trader Joes distributed versions are the same beer. For the Sea Dog line’s sake, I hope not. Tangy sugary lemon finish. Maybe it’s not the worst wheat beer out there, but it makes a nice effort at achieving that status.

Source:12 oz bottle under the Kennebunkport label.
Glass:Pint.
Appearance:Hazy yellow pour with a thin white head.
Aroma:Faint citrus with mostly malt.
Flavor:Malty with a strong presence of diacetyl and a citrus finish.
Palate:Light body with solid carbonation.
Overall:Wouldn’t have been good without the diacetyl, certainly wasn’t good with it.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear golden yellow color with a thick pillowy white head. Aroma is very malty and grainy with a bit of citric fruitiness and some slight metallic notes. Just a bit of lemon zest rounds it off. Flavor starts with a bit of a refreshing fruit and malt character. Quickly gives way to the bland grainy flavors that essentially screw up the refreshing quality. Finishes sweet and sugary with some bitterness that lingers. Medium to light body and a sharp carbonation. What could be a nice cheap refreshing wheat beer gets messed up by the cheap grainy astringency.

It’s a shame to call it a Wheat, as it hardly resembled that. Poured to a pale yellow, with thin white head that dissipated quickly and left no lacing. Virtually no aroma or taste, and finish wa non-descript. This was thirst quenching on a hot summer day, but then, so is ice water.

A bottle of Kennebunkport Wheat Ale. No telling how old that bottle was. 12oz twist-off bottle. Clear yellow, thin white head. Dry aroma of bready malts. Dry, stale straw flavor . Nice finishing hop. It’s OK... this one is just not my preference. 14 mar 09.

12 ounce bottle from Trader Joe’s in Short Pump, VA under the Kennebunkport label. Pours a clear amber color with a large head. Average head retention and lacing. Aroma is bread and bubblegum. Taste is grain, bubblegum, banana and other tropical fruit notes. Thin bodied. Seems just a bit artificial.

Bottle of Kennebuckport Wheat. Poured a slightly cloudy gold. Aroma was quite sweet/sugary and grainy. Flavor was quite sweet, a bit overwhelming.
