Musty, artificially syrupy and strangely, cloyingly wheaty nose. Bronze pour with a short soapy off-white head. Very crisp, slightly tart feel, dryish but on the whole unclean. Some pretzel dough and lemon cleaner, a touch of nut and a lot of wheat malt. Stale grain and cardboard. Medium body. Blech. BeerEssential (96), Massachusetts, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 20, 2008 Bought this from Trader Joe’s as Kennebunkport Wheat. Pours a bright, clear yellow with no head remaining after a moment. Faint honey and hop scent. Taste is mild, watery, slightly sweet and bitter but with a dry, clean finish. Easy drinking but ultimately boring. haddon90 (1036), Alexandria, Virginia, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Mar 20, 2008 Pours a clear copper color with a thin lacing head. Bitter malty aroma. Not much to the taste, but bitter. Not much wheat taste. Doesn’t really taste like it was put together that well. wcampbell (582), Central, South Carolina, USA

The aroma was bready with a bit of a wheat character and a light bit of estery banana. Just a hint of spice was notable, but some sulfur was present. The beer poured into the glass clear straw amber with a white tight bubbled head which lasted well and laced the glass. The flavor was a bit metallic and with an initial sweet impression. The metallic flavor was strong and relentless. A bit of cardboard was also notable. The finish was dry with a lasting tinny nature into the aftertaste. The body was medium and the carbonation moderate and the beer was a bit creamy on the palate. Without that tinny metallic flavor this would be a drinkable beer. 12 ounce bottle. Purchased at Trader Joes.
