Found at Trader Joe’s as Kennebunkport. Really good beer for value price. Great hoppiness and mouth feel. I definitely liked this beer!

A decent beer, but nothing more than average I’d say. Copper colored, medium off white head, sweet/mild hop aroma. It could stand to be a bit hoppier and I think it’s a little too sweet. There’s a sour, bitter note in there as well. Calling it a true IPA may actually be a stretch, this seems like more of a Pale Ale than an IPA.

12-ounce brown twist-off bottled labled Kennebunkport IPA with a notched date of July ’08. Very clear amber color, thick tan head, fine bubbles. Medium body, Early malty flavor (some caramel) matched with a dominating mellow hoppiness. No Casecade hop citrusy char. Very nice flavor balance. A well-done Pale Ale.

Mine is the Kennebunkport version from Trader Joe’s. Hazy orange, decent head. Resinous herbal hop character dominates a moderate backbone of sweet malt with a decently bitter finish. Fairly low key for an American IPA, but nicely balanced.

Pretty light aroma. Flavor isn’t overpowering in bitterness, but it has some bite in the finish. Decent enough.

Thanks to JK for sharing as Kennebunkport IPA. Sweet malty nose with faint caramel. Caramel malt in the body with no hops.

12 oz, bb July 08. Hazy orange-copper with a two-finger head that holds up fairly well. Earthy caramel aroma. Initial flavor is caramel, turning to apple, then bitterish apple core, toasted nut, and some bitter herbs and on the end. Evergreen resin - maybe some cedar - and some sourish notes show up in the aftertaste way later and sort of take over - increases the rating and could make this one a nice session ale. Light body is a bit too frothy, but finishes nicely dry. Good English-style IPA that has some nice complexity, but is not dominated by the US hop flavors that most American IPA drinkers lean towards.

I didn’t get much of an aroma from this brew but there was a nice full head after the pour. The flavor was sweeter and maltier than I was expecting from an IPA but considering all of Sea Dog’s fruit beers it doesn’t surprise me. Overall a decent but different offering.
