| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 4, 2008 Bottle reads Kennebunkport IPA, apparently within Sea Dog’s extended family of breweries.. Ho hum. what can I say. THis is a weak IPA, not nearly enough hops to last a voyage to India, let alone France. Pours a brown pale ale color with fairly large fizzy bubbles. Barnyard nose (what! this ain’t no IPA, I reckon’). Bread-inspired flavor. Where the hops at dude?!!! I’ll stick with the British or SoCal variety of IPAs - that actually pack some hop sting. yesyouam (609), Fairport, New York, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 1, 2008 Kennebunkport IPA (Sea Dog Old East India Pale Ale) is an amber ale with a bit of a chill haze. Large rainbow bubbles form as the white head fades to a film. It smells salty, funky, cheesy and fruity-- apples come to mind. It is medium-light in body, smooth and a bit sudsy. The flavor is like the aroma: salty, cheesy, etc. The fruity element reveals itself to be just as much orange as apple. It is not very bitter and there is a sweet grassy flavor, like hay. It’s really funky. AmazonMatt (285), Panama
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 30, 2007 12 oz single Kennebunkport IPA. Nose of honey and caramel. Pleasing typical apricot colored IPA appearance. I got flowers and ice tea flavor. This isn’t an IPA, it is an APA, but good and refreshing. Nothing stellar, but not bad either. I could drink this every day in Panama. IrishBoy (2722), Bakersfield, California, USA

I gues the cost of hops was too much so they just left them out! JK (2967), Richfield, Minnesota, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Dec 21, 2007 Purchased as Kennebunkport ipa. Not very good at all, in fact it is actually a bad beer. Too much carbonation and no hops in a style that should emphasize hops. Red color and a tall head. Skyview (4090), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 20, 2007 Sampled as Kennebunkport IPA via 12-oz bottle, shared by JK. Pours a clear light copper amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that leaves behind no lacing nor any ring. Aroma of light caramel malt, a touch of grapefruit citrus and some flowery hops. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with flavors of caramel malt, some grapefruit, a touch of dry biscuit, and some clove. Finish is semi-sweet caramel with a touch of grapefruit zest aftertaste. This is more like an American Pale Ale than an IPA. badgerben (3605), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 20, 2007 As Kennebunkport IPA, shared by JK. Copper color with no head. Slight caramel aroma. Caramel still there in taste, but the hops are not. Almost a sweet flavor of hops. An almost bubblegum-like finish.
