Biscuits, flouride, and salted grapefruit in the aroma; very bland and simplistic, and somewhat obvious in its careless construction. Taste is all slick crystal malt in its dried out, fruity tea leaf character. Touched lightly with lemonade and and very quieted citrus, almost in an estery sense. Dull. Sparkly and light bodied in the mouth. The hop presence here is seriously underdeveloped, the malt character tilted in the wrong direction. Loose and quite aimless. Thanks for sharing, John. Pours hazy amber in color with full foamy off white head. Aroma sweet, malty and light hoppiness. Taste of malt and sweet with bitter finish. Very drinikable IPA for being light on the hops. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 10, 2007 From bottle : Pours a slightly hazy medium dark copper/orange color, with a hlaf finger of white foamy head that diminishes fairly quick. Nose of hops and some citrus aromas. Flavor leaves something to be desired, some caramel notes, and hops, not much to it though. Lacks any real bitterness, but has a little dap at the end. Medium bodied, with a creamy mouthful. Decent. NicerInPerson (337), North of Raleigh, North Carolina, USA

The aroma was a light bit of citrus with a moderate caramel presence. The aroma was more earthy in hop presence and only had a lightly resinous nature. The beer poured into the glass ever so slightly hazy amber with a white low head which did last well enough to lace the glass. The flavor was caramel with some toasty aspects and a very light hint of citrus in the hops, but more pine and light resin. The flavor contained a bready character. The finish was dry with lasting caramel. The body was medium and the carbonation was low. This has more in common with an ESB than an IPA. The hops just were not assertive and the balance was very even between hops and malt. Not offensive and pretty boring. 12 ounce bottle. Purchased at Trader Joes. Aroma of caramel, pine hops, but not much intensity. Flavor is sort of a dull sweet caramel and biscuit malt with some pine hops. Would swear that I’m getting a bit of diacetyl as well. Uninspired. highibus (443), Mill Creek, Washington, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Nov 27, 2007 Nice color (I like a more caramel colored IPA) but very thin and no hop aroma. Not an IPA in my opinion. Now I know to avoid. They tricked me with a new label. Angeloregon (2036), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 26, 2007 Poured a thin clear copper body with a fuzzy white head. This is an IPA? Mildly hoppy. English in style. Vapid malt spine. More like an invertabrae. If you are on the West Coast, don’t buy this in bottles. dchmela (1466), Orlando, Florida, USA
