Oct 10, 2007 Bought at TJ’s as Kennebunkport becuase it was much cheaper than Goose Island IPA.
I agree with several others, this does not have the hops to make it a real IPA. It does have a good citrus hop as well as malty aroma. Balanced malty flavor with almost enough hop bitterness. Pretty good beer... certainly drinkable - and a great value.

Oct 7, 2007 Updated: Oct 13, 2007Bottle... Poured a dark orange with a really nice head. Watery, bland malt aroma. Whenever there’s IPA I don’t like, I never think, "too many hops", it’s always, "needs more hops". Just boring, too much watery, malt content and not enough hop complexity. Really sweet and a syrupy base that’s very unbalanced.

Oct 5, 2007 Bottle (35 cl) at Delirium Café, Göteborg, Sweden. Very fruity aroma, not that IPA-like, with some discrete citric and piney hops. Good balance, but it does not feel like an American IPA.

Weird IPA, but pretty solid beer in general. Nice hoppy flavor without being overwhelmingly bitter. Crisp and refreshing more than I would expect from this genre. But also less exciting.

Oct 2, 2007 pretty solid, hops not overpowering, more than a hint of citrusy fruit and creamy caramel. it doesn’t taste like an ipa, but an interesting, tasty beer nonetheless.

Oct 1, 2007 Dark orange with semi-thick biscuit colored head. Aroma-orange peel and sweet. Lots of alcohol flavor. Not the most well-crafted IPA I’ve had. Some really watery orange flavor. Really, it tastes like the skin of an orange if you’ve already punctured the peel. A pretty mild token bitterness is also present.

Sep 30, 2007 Poured to a copper-amber color, with thin off-white head and minimal lacing. Nose was very faint, and what I could detect was more malt than hop. Mouthfeel was more sweet and tingly, with more emphasis on sweet. This all ended in a finish was sweet, with only a hint of bitter.
Not sure who in Maine decided to call this an IPA, but it hardly resembled that at all. At best, I would go a Plae Ale, and not even sure if there were enough hops for that. Not a bad beer, just not an IPA.

Sep 28, 2007 Bottle as Sea Dog. Aroma is hoppy with a touch of grapefruit. Flavor is hoppy, full of citrus, and creamy at the same time.
