This is an english ipa,, fuggles hops I would guess. Weak flavor, weak hops ....poor representation of an ipa. NYHarvey (2154), New York, New York, USA

Has a mildly buttered, toasted grain aroma but I can’t smell much int he way of hops at all. The body is a light amber/copper and holds a rapidly diminishing, wispy white head. Mild caramel, some more of that buttered toasted grains, medium hop presence that leans toward citrus rather than pine. Finish is toasted butter toffee. Ok, but a little strange. nick76 (2665), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 30, 2007 The aroma is sweet with adjunct malt, caramel, biscuits, toffee, nuts, and hops. The hops are not quite citrusy or piny enough. The appearance is amber with an average head. The flavor is like the aroma with plenty of nuttiness, caramel, toffee, and bitter hops. The palate is smooth but thin. Overall a nice beer but not my favorite IPA. It’s much more like a rich ESB or a light hoppy brown ale. bu11zeye (5510), Frisco, Texas, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 2, 2007 Nice floral nose of yeast and some fruit, hints of caramel on pour. Pours a sparkling orange copper. The tight bone head is frothy & creamy leaving nice lace, and is mostly lasting. The very refreshing flavor has a hugely bitter presence with the perfect level of acidity and citric characteristics. The toasty finish is complex. The medium body is lively and creamy, the finish feels dry. mbrandon2w (109), Worcester, Massachusetts, USA

Flavor was nice and appearance was great. Deep copper color, earthy flavor with a decent hop finish Alldaydrinker (558), Norwood, Massachusetts, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 15, 2007 Poured into a pint glass and displayed a golden-amber colour with a medium, off white head. Particles are present giving it a slightly hazy appearance, medium carbonation. The body is thin. Has a decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is malty overwhelming any hop smell. Flavour is malty and not bitter, compared to most IPAs. In the aftertaste, you can mildly taste the bitter hops with almost a candy finish on the lips. I was surprised by this IPA.
