Flavor was nice and appearance was great. Deep copper color, earthy flavor with a decent hop finish Alldaydrinker (558), Norwood, Massachusetts, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 15, 2007 Poured into a pint glass and displayed a golden-amber colour with a medium, off white head. Particles are present giving it a slightly hazy appearance, medium carbonation. The body is thin. Has a decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is malty overwhelming any hop smell. Flavour is malty and not bitter, compared to most IPAs. In the aftertaste, you can mildly taste the bitter hops with almost a candy finish on the lips. I was surprised by this IPA. rocbyter (925), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 7, 2007 More malt aroma than hop aroma on the nose. cloudy orange color with a small head. Starts malty. Slight hop bitterness on the finish. Duster72 (117), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 27, 2007 Reddish copper color pour from bottle into pint glass. Finger and a half head dissipates quickly. Aroma is mild, but primarily carmel malts. Where are the hops? Bottle shows this as being a fresh batch, but the hops are nonexistant. More like a abbey ale than an IPA. Very sweet flavor carmel malts with very little bitters. Mouthfeel is a little too cloying. More sweet than anything. Not a bad beer, especially at $.92 (yes, less than a dollar!) at Trader Joe’s, but nothing I would ever seek out. blinesam (233), USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Mar 21, 2007 12 oz bottle Trader Joe’s, poured into glass. Darker than what i expected, really not that good for an IPA, I would estimate the ibu’s at about 30. Slightly sthin and watery. beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 22, 2007 Pours faintly cloudy orange with a soft thin white head. Not as floral of an IPA as I like, and a bit to malty for the amount of hop character. The hops had citrus character, but didn’t really give the strong showing that IPAs do, the malt was more the focal point, this was more like an american pale or esb. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 17, 2007 Bottle from Trader Joe’s, Glen Ellyn, IL. Smoke and lemons in the nose. Reddish amber, dark peach color. Cloudy. Average sized, slightly off-white head. Cascading carbonation like champagne. Nice lice. Sweet and balanced. Nice hop. Maybe a touch too sweet, otherwise enjoyable! HopDevil1979 (117), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 16, 2007 Did not smell like an IPA when pouring...smelled of a rancid college beer pong brew. made me nervous. looks nice, dark amber, semi hazy, little head. Tastes much better than it smells. Not very hoppy at all, so I’m confused about the IPA label, but a drinkable beer nonetheless with a clean mouthfeel, favors of pine trees and winterfresh gum. Too malty for an IPA!
