| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 1, 2006 12oz bottle-burnt amber with a soapy lightly off-white head. aroma of piney hops, light butterscotch (a problem with shipyard beers) honeysuckle, appricots, but the diacytl is not that heavy here. Smells brittish (ringwood yeast? always gives out diacytl). flavors are toasted caramel malts, light piney and earthy hops with some dusty ester notes of mangos and mellons. body is somewhat fizzy but fairly full and coats the mouth. Not a bad british styled IPA, but not something i would try again. jefcon (1003), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 18, 2006 Deep golden in the glass, with a diminishing off-white head. Aromas are slight: hopcit and must, some wheat bread. Light palate and souring finish, but clean enough going down otherwise. Lots of carbonation, like seltzer, but brief. Some spicy orange and caramel on the flavor profile to go with the aromas. vyvvy (2068), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 12, 2006 Pour is clear brown with off white head with light carbonation. Aroma has piney hops and caramel malts. Not nearly as hoppy as I would expect from an IPA on the aroma. Initial taste is a malty toffee flavor with some medicinal aspects. Fairly light mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Finish is light on piney hops and caramel / toffee maltiness. This has got to be the lowest IBUs I have ever tasted in something that calls itself an IPA. Some floral hops open up later in the glass. An okay beer that you can get for cheap, but not worth seeking out. kwoeltje (1322), Manchester, Missouri, USA

Citrus/apricot hops aroma. Flavor is predominated by hops but a fair amount of malt for the balance. Not a bad IPA at a very good price. IMtheOptimator (1161), Bethel, Connecticut, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 25, 2006 Poured an effervescent dark amber with a fizzy off-white head. Aroma of piney hops, burnt caramel, a bit of medicine. Taste is slighty hoppy with strong toffee notes and an astringent medicinal character to the finish. Average fizzy body. Drinkable, and better than some other swill IPA’s I’ve had, but I’ll be happy to forget about it.
