The nose was strangely sour, cardboard, some sweetness, no distinguishable hop aroma although something was going on. Bob is right when he says it blows. durhambeer (1229), Durham, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Apr 6, 2009 Bottle from Trader Joe’s. This beer pretty much blows. Nothing like an IPA. Very malty; more like pale ale, I guess. Not much hop presence. We decided it tasted kind of like corn chips in a dip gone bad. Butters (1653), Virginia, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Apr 5, 2009 Sampled at the Impromptu Butter’s 6th cellar clearance. Clear orange pour with minimal ring of whitish head. Weak Light apple nose with some bready qualities. Flavor has a light apple hop flavor and caramel malt to balance. Sweet sticky finish. Pretty boring actually. Barrios (861), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Mar 29, 2009 12 oz. bottle. I wouldn’t call this an IPA. It’s cloyingly sweet, and the sugary malts overwhelm the hops. Malt is bready and nutty, with a bit of corn. Hops contribute some bitterness, but little flavor. Finish is very flat and lacking flavor. Foxbush (467), Richmond, Virginia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 8, 2009 I tink I have had this IPA before as Sea Dog but could find it in the system. Someone gave me a bottle while at Snowshoe. This one is called Kennebunkport IPA. The color is clear and tawny gold. The appearance is a plus and very alluring. It is a good IPA but not in the Top 10. The IPA is somewhat thin and lacks that citrus flavor. The head formed nicely and was joy to drink while watching the UNC and Duke March 2009 game.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 3, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Mediocre Hops taste. I was hoping for a little more bitterness, flavor, and aroma from an IPA, but I managed to enjoy discovering its subtle hints of grapefruit, orange, and malt.
