| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 13, 2007 Bottle. Smells like pumpkin pie spice. Orange tinged gold color with a white head that barely exists. Near medium body with fizzy carbonation. It has the pie spice, and seems to have pumpkin. It’s dryish, and there is hop. However, the main attraction is the spice, including nutmeg. The finish is spice with some light bitter. Decent enough, and better than many of the style. Found the label amusing.. not like any i’ve seen before. Smelled of spices and hops. Taste was very pleasant. You can taste the hops compared to other pumpkin ales I have tried. The hops brings out the flavor of the pumpkin. I like this beer. If the world was somehow rid of all Shipyard Pumpkinhead, I would buy this. kevd193213 (519), Hope Valley, Rhode Island, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 9, 2007 Bottle. Golden pour with little to no head, also very little carbonation present. Aroma of pumpkin and spices. Very watery taste of straw and pumpkin spices. mg21497 (12), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 30, 2007 Probably one of the best pumpkin beers I have had. I find it to have a very strong auromatic pumpkin smell and a very distinctive pumpkin taste that finishes very clean. Headbanger (1601), Aurora, Illinois, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 27, 2007 12oz bottle-A medium to dark golden with a white head that dissipated quickly. Has an aroma of nutmeg, spices, and pumpkin. Taste of slight pumpkin then gets stronger. Not bad. sfontain (508), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 5, 2007 12 oz bottle, marked as "best by" 02/2006 (yes, 02/2006); purchased for $5 per 24 bottles at Kenny Road Market. Orange-straw color with a small, white head that disappears quickly and completely. Pleasant aroma clearly shows pumpkin and nice pie spice and evokes images of Thanksgiving. Flavor does exhibit pumpkin and light spices; virtually no hops in the finish at all. Comes off thin and a bit flat. Overall, this smells nice, and it’s drinkable as a session beer (particularly if you buy it really cheap past its expiration date!), however the flavor doesn’t stand up, and as a result there are other pumpkin beers I would buy before this one. 505 (271), Echo Park, California, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jul 24, 2007 Aroma is very mild, almost nothing. Pours orangish with a small head. Flavor is all pumpkin and some sweetness. Thin body, lots of carbonation. Decent, not great though. PullMeABeer (203), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 8, 2007 Bottle. Pours light copper with a large fizzy white head that fell to nothing. Pleasant mildly sour grainy nose with hints of nutmeg and cinnamon. Bubbly and thin/medium bodied on the palate with flavors of subtlety sweet pumpkin pie. Finishes very nicely for what it is. Heck, I really enjoyed this beer. "Beats the hell out of DFH!"
