This is one of the better pumpkin ales. It is sweet but not sticky and has a very nic spiceyness too it. Cinnimon maybe a little. Good stuff. Quick message for those who hate a particular style of beer like this. A SHV beer is an aquired taste but if you hate this type of beer why try it. robertjm (413), El Cerrito, California, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/20 | Sep 19, 2006 Not very full bodied. Nice pumkinny color. Slight head that disappears very quickly. Aftertaste that lingers on the tongue, albeit very light. Smells like a typical pumpkin ale. Some spices linger in that aftertaste too. Honestly, nothing special IMHO. Stands lowly in the shadow of Bill Owens’ pumpkin classic!! Saarlander (1583), Rancho Cucamonga, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Sep 18, 2006 A drinkable brew if anything, not much to it, but nice spice flavor, wish it was abit heavier though,ok. jefcon (1007), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 1/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Sep 17, 2006 Ugly in the glass -- crystal clear with no head at all. Aromas are dominated by heavy, stale allspice. Palate is thin and unforgiving. But the flavor is most amazing: they should market this as a bubblegum beer. Sugary, gummy, and fleeting with just a touch of hops to keep it from being undrinkable. xmarcnolanx (806), Kirkwood, Missouri, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Sep 10, 2006 The beer is hopped well for being a pumpkin beer. The pumpkin is prevalent, but not overwhelming. I get more of a spice taste and aroma. The malty sweetness is overwhelming, not to the point of being cloying, but to being a distraction from the objective. A drinkable beer, but not one I would consider "good". | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 31, 2006 Golden yellow color with thin white head. Smells malty, with strong spice and hop notes. Strong allspice type flavor (I think someone already said that). Sweet, but hoppy enough to balance it out. Light-bodied. It’s okay, but a little light bodied and light tasting for a fall beer. lagermonkey (597), Marietta, Georgia, USA

Pours a crystal clear pale copper. Wispy thin khaki head. Smells of pumpkin pie spice. Clove, nutmeg and cinnamon.
Sweet light malt folowed by the medium level pumpkin spice. Finishes bitter with the faint aftertaste of hops. Very thin yet crisp.
Hey, wait a second. This is Sea Dog’s mediocrity of a golden ale, Windjammer, with some pumpkin spice thrown in! This is no pumpkin ale! Boo! 5000 (2600), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 13, 2006 Bottle: Clear golden, moderate white frothy head, dies quickly leaving only a ring of lace, mild carbonation. Fairly spicy nose, nutmeg and cinnamon. Spiced up front, dies out fairly quickly leaving on a smidgen of what it started with. Noticing a bit of milk & honey too. Towards the end it shows a bit of wet cardboard, and it isn’t as malty nor filling as other examples. Fairly clean finish, light, somewhat boring, but all together okay.
