Sea Dog Raspberry Wheat Ale

12 oz bottle. Aroma is strong raspberries. Body is nice. Taste is nice and raspberry wheaty. Would be nice to see 5+ %alc. I had this after sampling 12 beers so i might need to rerate this one.

essence of raspberries is really misleading. This beer tastes like rasperry juice or whine. I think that if you want a beer you should try something else and if you want a rasperry juice, just buy vodka and mix it with rasperry juice because you’ll get the same flavor. HOWEVER, that said, this beer/juice is refreshing and light which is nice to drink if you want a soda or something.

Close to being a wine cooler but I have to say there is an ale quality here with the carbonation and some malt character. I see why they sell this down south, its making Carolina Gold look appealing.

Bottle. Pale with almost no head. Hint of raspberry aroma. Little to know fruit or wheat flavor. Bubbly but flat watery mouth feel. A bit of a sweet finish. Forgettable.

bottle - Pours clear yellow with a thin head. It smells of raspberries. Who would have thought?! It tastes mainly of raspberries with a little malt character and not much else. It seems that a watery, bland beer has had a substantial amount of raspberry extract added to it. It’s better than this beer would have been without the raspberries, but much worse than it could have been.

gold with a medium sized white head. flavor is sweet with raspberry. aroma is of raspberry but kind of medicinal(robotussin). better than the blueberry.

12 oz. bottle from Broudy’s St Augustine FL. Poured a rich golden color with a creamy short lasting head. Nicely balanced raspberry flavor with a pleasant long-lingering aftertaste. This is a very smooth ale which I will definitely add to my summer drinking stock.
