| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Apr 8, 2007 The beer itself smells like raspberries, with not too much smell apart from that. The taste itself was rather fruity for a fruit beer, with the wheat beer taste going in the back seat. Pretty carbonated as well. Not really bad, but it is almost a soda rather than a beer. rdelljh (122), Pennsylvania, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 7, 2007 Pours a clean golden color w/ a shallow, spritzy froth that dies quickly leaving only a thin ring of brewer lace. Smells like raspberry bubblegum. Light nectar w/ ample residual effers. Tastes like a raspberry popciscle. Sweetness factor is very mild. Finish is only lightly bittered leaving a cereal flavor that lingers. mynameisjonas (206), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 14, 2007 This was the third fruit beer we reviewed from Sea Dog, and unfortunately for it, we’d already reviewed the blueberry. By itself, this is a great fruit beer, but within its own house, it doesn’t hold a candle to the Blue Paw. It pours a medium yellow color with a large, creamy off-white head. Virtually no lacing is left behind the mostly diminishing head. Aroma is of light yeast and, invariably, raspberries. The initial taste is lightly sweet, ramping up to a moderately sweet finish with a very fruity taste with a long duration. Nice taste and flavor on the palate, as its light to medium body and lively carbonation leave us refreshed.
Reviewer’s notes: "Smells like sour raspberries, not as potent as blueberry or apricot, they do fruit beers well, strong fruity aroma."

Golden pour with a high degree of carbonation and an active, fizzy white head. Crisp, lightly sweet taste, malt with rasp somewhere in the middleground. Sweetish malty aftertaste. Light body. Not very natural and not at all alluring.
