Just like their blueberry beer, I found this one too sweet as well. I just prefer the fruit sweetness to be more subdued or balanced... DJMonarch (6878), Northwich, Cheshire, England

Too sweet and fruity for my liking, but a decent fruit beer nonetheless. Very strong raspberry aroma. Light and crisp flavor. Slightly dry aftertaste. fluffy (229), Florida, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Apr 26, 2009 pours amber red with an obvious berry aroma. flavor is fruity with a bit of yeastiness. palatte is pretty clean with a lingering berry flavor. i dunno. its ok, but seeing as its supposed to be a yeast i would have liked a stronger hefe flavor, more citrusy tang and yeastiness. still, on a hot day, you could do worse. cdugo (31), , Texas, USA

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 8/20 | Mar 18, 2009 Of all the mainstream fruit beers, Sea Dog is the company that never fails to deliver. The Raspberry Wheat, however, is my least favorite of the three in the variety pack. I was a little frightened by the aroma, as it smelled like it would be overly sweet. However, the raspberry taste was just subtle enough. It was definitely there, but not overpowering. It was just a bit fake tasting. This is a very refreshing beer after working outside all day. The ladies love Sea Dog.
Having said that, let me be specific as to why my rating is lower than my review has warranted: if you want to have a crisp, refreshing beverage, Sea Dog is great. If you want to have a beer, search elsewhere.
