May 9, 2005 Appearance is a clear reddish gold. Virtually no head and what little it has disappears quickly. There is no smell but the faint hint of raspberry. After I taste it I realize why it has no aroma. It has no taste either! An incredibly light body bordering on watery. Light syrupy raspberry taste but not much else here. Weak mouthfeel.
I hate to slam a Sea Dog but this is a wimpy, watery ale with no complexity at all. I can appreciate a subtle brew but they didn’t even try to make this one interesting. I’ll leave the rest of these for my wife but I won’t be partaking again.

Mar 25, 2005 Updated: Jan 13, 2006Botlle: pours yellow with a bit of orange color. Huge bouquet of raspberries. Decent white head that leaves quickly. As far as fruit beers go, this is decent. Maybe a little overdone in the raspberry department. Big raspberry flavor and a bit of perfume/soap. If you don’t like fruit beers, avoid.

Mar 14, 2005 Pours a one-finger white head that fades quickly and doesn’t leave much. Clear amber color. Medium carbonation and medium bodied. Strong raspberry nose. Starts and finishes with the raspberry flavor dominating, looking for the wheat but didn’t find it. Best by Jul 2005. $1.45 for a 12oz bottle from Tully’s Beer & Wine Wells, Me.

Feb 26, 2005 I tried this one with Blue Paw on my mind and when I cracked the cap I was overtaken by the strong Raspberry aroma. After trying to finish the first of a 6 pack I found it difficult to drink the rest. I was disappointed in this beer. Too strong on the fruity flavor for my taste. I will stick with the Blueberry Wheat Ale.

Golden with no head whatsoever.
Very sweet aroma and flavour with some artificial berry-notes.
Almost impossible to drink.

Feb 15, 2005 Not as good? As the blueberry. This was not so good, not a lambic, not sure what they were shooting for. Damn you rate beer, if not for your presences in my life, I would not have tried this.

Honey color with small vanishing white head. Sweet rasberry aroma. Crisp carbonated mouthfeel with rasberry flavor. Quite watery with short finish. If I want rasberries, I choose Boon Framboise :)
