Definitely not complex but fine for drinking in the hot summer. No real strong berry characteristics in the flavour or aroma, just lurking in the background. Could stand to be a little more bold. | 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 4/5 | 8/20 | Jul 15, 2008 Aroma was pretty weak for a fruit beer, but it did smell like sweet raspberries, just not as strong as I expected. Thick head that took a while to disipate. Color looked like commercial light beer. Flavor was also kinda weak, faint raspberries and well...wheat...not much of an aftertaste. Also very easy on the palate but not as much as the apricot, seemed to dry my mouth out a bit. Overall I guess it’s decent...but I probably wouldnt buy it again...The apricot is better. jaymobrown (1360), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 6, 2008 There’s something that is quite difficult in rating fruit beers. Most of the time it’s, "Yep, it’s a raspberry wheat. What else do you want me to say?" That’s the case here. If you’ve had a raspberry wheat beer ever, you know what to expect and this is it. A fairly decent nose of some raspberry type. A thin feel with some vague raspberry and no wheat flavors. Not much to chew on. Well, there you go. kiefdog (1631), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 4, 2008 12oz bottle from Total Wine (Tampa, FL). Pours a clear amber with a thin white had that provides minimal lacing on the glass. Lively carbonation. Aroma is raspberry, wheat, straw and hints of spice. Flavor is wheaty and fruity with strong notes of red ripe fruit. Somewhat like a framboise but not as good. Generally watery mouthfeel with a quick, unremarkable finish. "it’s good right? it’s just a shame they have to kill all those raspberries to make it" puggy211 (591), cordova, Tennessee, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jun 29, 2008 This beer offers the nose an aroma consisting of raspberries and vinegar. It is gold colored and only produces a glaze of foam. This is flat, watery, and thin. It has an artificial raspberry taste that fades very bitterly.not very good DandyWolfFloyd (331), Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 9, 2008 Aroma takes on an acidic raspberry flavor. It’s appearance is a coppery color, with a thin white collar. It’s a bit acidic raspberry with minor maltyness as well. It’s very crisp and refreshing. A nice summer beer. kurtkosher (144), USA
