| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Dec 22, 2006 bottle. Pours clear dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma of toasted malts, hazelnut and a bit of chocolate and coffee. Hits the front pallete nicely with a creamy nutty flavor but then quickly goes downhill with burnt malts and stale coffee with a bit of acidity hitting at the end. A little runny. nick76 (2674), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 10, 2006 The aroma is very nice. It’s incredibly nutty with lots of hazelnuts and toasted malt. There is also chocolate which adds to the sweet nose. The appearance is red-brown with an average head. The flavor is bitter but it’s mostly sweet with lots of nuts and chocolate. The palate is thin with a hazelnut coffee finish. This is a really good porter except for being thin on the palate. I love the addition of hazelnut flavor. Cletus (5056), Connecticut, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 29, 2006 This Sea Dog Porter was a great experience. The aroma of hazelnut was pleasant and inviting. The jet black porter had a medium body. The hazelnut aroma would back up into your nose after every drink. There was a very thin head. I would have this again. sneagrams3 (1757), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Nov 14, 2006 Mildly nutty and chocolatey aroma is pleasant if unexciting. Opaque brown body with ruby highlights topped by a low off white head that recedes rapidly to ring. Butterscotch and caramel are strong with some suggestion of chocolate in the aftertaste. Light body is rather slick on the teeth with strong, sharp carbonation that slices the tongue and fills the belly. Sampled at Mondial 2006.
