Oct 2, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours dark brown color with tan head. Has a sweet nut aroma with a hint of coffee. Can’t taste much hazelnut but it is in the aroma. Finishes with a roast chocolate taste. Not a bad brew.

Sep 30, 2009 Bottled. Dark brown red with thin tan head. Lots of nut aroma along with roasted notes and sweet malt aroma. Taste is weak for a porter and the ABV is to low If your going to make a porter make it a porter, but interesting nose and good appearance.

Aug 9, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours a dark brown color with a 1/2" beige head. Aroma is hazelnut, chocolate and roasted malts. Decent body with average carbonation. Flavor is chocolate, toffee, nuts, all with a hazelnut background. Quite differant.

Jul 13, 2009 Bottle. Pours a black color with a longlasting tan head. Has a malty nutty hazelnut aroma with some hints of coffee. Roasted malty chocolate flavor with some nutty hazelnut hints. Has a roasted malty chocolate finish with some nutty hints in the aftertaste.

Jun 24, 2009 Bottle, but from the label it might as well be a strawberry wheat. Pours an amber body with an off white head. Sweet and chewy malt character, caramel light nuttiness and some burnt malt. Eh not so good.

Jun 21, 2009 Bottle. Pours a dark burgundy with a soapy tan head. The aroma is of burnt nuts, cocoa, and toffee. The initial flavour is of roasted hazelnut and molasses. As the brew passes the tongue the bitterness of the dry roastiness becomes a little more prominent. Cocoa compliments the hazelnut. Towards the finish, it becomes a little soapy. The finish is lightly bitter. Flavours diminish rather quickly, making this beer somewhat forgettable.
This isn’t bad. It starts off decent but falls apart towards the finish.
