Aroma is sweet and malty. nice subtle malt and hoppy flavor. Not as watered down as other summer ales. Surprisingly this is one of the better offerings from seadog. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 4, 2004 Pale and gold with a thick creamy white head. Pale malt aroma and a faint fruit presence. The taste is sweet malt and a mild bitterness, but nothing outstanding. There is a bit of a lemony flavor and it finishes somewhat sour. It seems to be more of a pils than an Amber ale. Either way, it’s slightly refreshing, but not spectacular. Hopistotle420 (1178), Amherst, Massachusetts, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jun 2, 2004 Deep golden hue. Thick, foamy, rocky white head. Grainy malt nose. This sure isnt an amber...Pale sweet malts, faint honey notes, light bodied, grassy herbal hops in the finish. Not full of incredible flavor, but a nice summer refresher. This reminds me more of a light pils, or blond or something else. walrus (13), USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 26, 2004 Good body and flavor for a summer, enough to enjoy with or without hot weather. Neutral, well balanced, no rough edges. No fruit required. McWhite (107), Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Aug 8, 2003 Bottle. Poured a gold, amber color. Taste was only slightly hoppy and had a hint of honey in it. It looked attractive, but I really didn't like it.
Side note: I later visited their restaurant/bar and I don't think they even carried this on tap (and this was during the summer). CapFlu (3483), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
