Jul 14, 2000 Very dark brown, but not black color, nice roasted aroma and a wonderful roasty flavor, with a slight hop finish. I love this stuff, too bad its seasonal.

May 2, 2008 buttery and smokey like a good scotch ale. nutty and tastes strikingly like frangelica. bottle reads drink in 2006. lucky find at moe’s deli 38th st 9th ave manhattan nyc. good body and moderate carbonation with a spicy hop character that is quite muted but distinct. moderate in the malts and sweetness.

Dec 27, 2008 12oz bottle. Very dark brown, soapy tan head. Big nutty aroma of lots of hazelnuts. HUGE HAZELNUT. Very dry roast, lots of stycki hazelnut syrup. Like a cold hazelnut coffee with extra syrup. Nice malt profile, good hop. perfect balance. Fun, to flavorful form me...
