Commercial Description:
A refreshing, straw-colored ale. The intense aromatics of Cascade hops are balanced by the richness of traditional two-row British malted barley. The fruity palate and crisp finish of this top-fermented ale bespeak of its British origins.

Cloudy yellow, whispy head hop aroma and taste with a slight bitter aftertaste. A less hoppy version of their IPA. Light body.

If you are ever in Mystic, try this on draft. If its fresh its fantastic. Nice crisp hops, a great pale ale.

A nice beer. I sampled at the Brewhouse in Bangor. Has a very nice flavor and smooth feel. By far the best Sea Dog brew. Worth a sample if you are in the area.

Draft at Mystic Pizza in Mystic, CT. Only non-macro available - and of course I would try the locally named beer anyways. Nose - well, pretty much just smelled like a beer - somtimes that’s just the way it is, isn’t it? OK copper color, thin yellow head. A little grainy, a little nutty, some light hops at the end. Mouth-feel was surprisingly solid. Palatable beer, not stellar, but worth a try.

From Draft. Transparent golden pour with a tiny topping of wispy head. Light grassy aromas are coupled with a mild, floral soapiness, perhaps scented of clover buds. The body in my sample is a bit undercarbonated and borderline watery, but has a solid, malty backing that contains undertones of a salty sea wash. Some artificially sweet copper maltiness with a touch of hoppiness that reminds me of dried hemlock cones. Finish is clean, but a touch on the sweet side and a bit underhopped for a pale ale.

Bottle. Pours gold with a white lasting head. Smells perfumy with some soapy qualities. Some lingering grassy and hay elements as well. Tastes malty with some lemony undertones.

From bottle. Clear amber color, with a rapidly dispersing white head. Nose is a touch flowery, and a bit grainy. Very drinkable, but somewhat weak, understated. Clean, somewhat bland finish. Could be great with more hop action.
