| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | May 14, 2003 A full-bodied brew with the burn of alcohol lingering faintly in the background. Not overly impressive and the labels for Sea Dog beers need some spicing up, unlike the beer which seems a tad spicy already. Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA

RE-RATE: Ok, I know this brewery has closed and re-opened and what not in the past couple years. The bottle I have only says "Winter Ale" on it. Nothing about Stock, but I assume it's the same thing. Malty caramel aroma with a yeastly belgian-type nose. Pour is a dark copper/amber with a very nice yellow head that turns off-white. Lots of malt kick in the middle. Finish is quite sweet and sugary with some mild smoked bitterness in the very finish. This is actually quite good.
Original Rate = 7/4/6/4/12. Not much in the way for comments--was still a RB newbie.
