Jul 9, 2009 Draft pint at the brewpub. Red amber with a fairly thin top. Mashy, musty with a wet hoppy character. If I had to choose one word, it would be "mooshy" -- Chewy and delicious, thick and viscuous, malty and rich. (#3591, June 2009)

May 30, 2009 Updated: May 31, 2009On tap at the brewpub. Nice clear orange color with a copper tinge. Fluffy small head managed to leave some great lacing. Aroma is citrus hops, crystal malt, and the unmistakeable rye spiciness. Flavor is sort of IPA-like in robustness despite the 8% alcohol. Crystal malt iced tea background with grapefruit zest hoppiness and a light rye influence that helps create a nice, dry finish without being very astringent. Very drinkable for 8% but too low on hops.
