Apr 15, 2007 On tap at the 10th Annual San Diego Strong Ale Festival: Clear bright copper bronze pour has a nicely-lacing wispy white head. Aroma of sweet pale malt and some lightly citrusy piny hops. Starts semi-sweet and toasty malty with good fresh hoppy character balanced throughout toward a sticky, bittersweet finish. A good double IPA.

Feb 14, 2007 Draft at the Bistro’s 7th Double IPA Fest; Nose of piney hops and caramel malt; hazy copper with a medium off-white head; flavor of citrus hop bitterness, and caramel, the hops giving a decent finish.

Feb 7, 2007 10th Annual SD Strong Ale Fest: Poured a clear deep amber color with a small off-white head. Pine and citrusy hopforward aroma. Sweet caramel base. Grapefruit flavor runs through the middle of the sweet malt. Semi-dry moderately bitter finish. Not bad.
