BoozieSusie (15), California, USA Feb 27, 2009 RIch and heavy. Very malty and bitter. Low aroma. Hints of lemon. Would go well with a steak. ratman197 (3137), Arvada, Colorado, USA Feb 11, 2009 On tap at Bistro DIPA Fest poured a clear amber with a lingering ring of amber foam. Aromas of earthiness, skunk bud, pine, apricot and orange. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of carmel, earthiness, pine and orange with a smooth dry lingering moderatly bitter finish. Nik925 (300), California, USA Feb 10, 2009 Malt and hops come on like crazy. This beer oddly shows off the malt much more than the hops. A bit weird after drinking normal DIPAs all morning were the malt is just there to balance putting in more hops. Even the finish is malty. You could almost say that hops were absent for the style. I liked it, but its not my preferred way to do the style. marcus (1821), Sacramento, California, USA Feb 8, 2009 On tap at the Bistro DIPA Fest. This copper ale poured with a beige head. There is a sweet caramel malt flavor with some excellent hopping. bhensonb (4182), Woodland, California, USA Feb 7, 2009 Tap at Bistro DIPA festival. Reddish copper color with a vigorous off-white head. Hoppy/malty aroma. Flavor is very malty and floral. Mostly malty. Very rich and satisfying. Very tasty.
