Bottle… RBSG 07… Pitch black with a mid-sized, creamy, beige head. Both the aroma and flavor are rich “Willy Wonka-style” rivers of chocolate bliss. Medium to full-bodied with a velvety mouthfeel and light carbonation. Well-roasted, raspy, and then dry finish. It’s what an oatmeal stout is supposed to be. This brewery “gets it!

(Sampler at the brewpub) Pours solid black with no real head. The aroma is of dark black malt and perhaps licorice. It’s thick and pretty smooth. The bitterness in the flavor approaches mocha. Great stuff.

Sampled at the brewpub. Certainly their signature drink and it was well worth it. Pours like motor oil and has a great aroma full of spices. Flavor is very malty and has a smooth dry finish. An excellent brew.

Pours with a black body topped by a medium thick head with some lacing. It’s slightly sweet and malty with nice coffe notes and a nice roastiness. Full bodied and smooth.

Almost black w/ a thin disappearing tan head, Chocolatey aroma, pretty hoppy for a stout but with a strong coffee presence, coffee finish also

Pours a rich opaque with a thin-lacing, frothy light brown head. Aroma of roasty malt and bittersweet dark chocolate. Body starts with a mildly sweet dark maltiness a touch of resiny hop bitterness and a smooth roasty dark chocolate finish A nicely-balanced, true to style sweet stout. Thanks to tever for the bottle!

Thanks Alan. The beer pours to a black body with a thin tan head. The aroma is really nice. Chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal, sweetened condensed milk, black patent. The flavor is an oatmeal cookie/brownie, seems like toasted coconut, hazelnut or almond, and chocolate. Tangy, dry, medium bodied.

Courtesy aspidites. Black, dark brown edges. 1.5cm of dense, light brown foam. Very nice nose- roasty malt, creamy dark chocolate, coffee, and a light dose of bitter hops. Similar flavor with a little less impact. Medium body, smooth with just enough carbonation. Very good oatmeal stout.
