| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 3, 2008 Draught at the brewpub. Dark gold-light amber with lasting foam. Pretty light aroma, with subtle yet distinct hops that you would expect in a west coast pale ale. The flavor has a pleasant toasty maltiness, balanced by nice hop flavor that is a little grapefruit peel and a little herbal pine. Medium bodied with smooth carbonation. Quite drinkable, pretty tasty, pretty average, but good balance. Not exactly adventurous, but you couldn’t go wrong with it. JFGrind (1354), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA

For me it served as a palate cleanser between the Cocoa Brown and the Blur. Typical West Coast style APA. Pelican went very well with Seabright’s Buffalo wings.
