Commercial Description:
This beer is a traditional filtered Pacific Northwest India Pale Ale. Although golden in color, this is not a light beer. With more than 60 bitterness units it’s got a bite to it, but is well balanced by the sweetness of a 7.4% alcohol by volume brew. This a is a very aggressive tasting beer.

Soft and refreshing floral hop aroma. Light amber in color with a flufy white head. Pleasant tanginess in the flavor, sweet maltiness, very balanced bitterness, but not overwhelming. Full bodied and nice and creamy. I think this in not too bad at all. Thanks TEVER.

I had it on draft as a close-out at the brewpub. Foggy amber body with nice citrus nose and overall sweetness. Bitterness is there in the aftertaste but overall a smooth 2XIPA. I think I had a fresh sample at the brewery and it made me enjoy mine more than if I had it out of a bottle.

(Sampler at brewpub) Blur IPA pours bright gold with a fluffy white head. It’s a light color for an IPA. It has a complex and medicinal aroma. The body is medium and smooth. The flavor is dominated by grapefruit peel, but it’s not overly bitter. Not quite what I’d think of when I think of an IPA, but no faults to speak of. I like it.

Draught at the brewpub. I don’t know if the recipe changed or my tastes are just out of sync, but I thought this was an excellent IPA. Aroma is grapefruit and citrus hops and a hint of wood, with some caramel malt. Flavor is a nice balance of fairly aggressive hopping with sweet malt backing. Alcohol not noticeable. Quite tasty---rather hoppy, but doesn’t neglect to have an interesting malt character either.

Aroma is fruit and citrus but not over powering. Pours a hazy light orange color. Fruity flavor with a little bit of a sour hop finish. Not as heavy as one would expect from an IPA.

Hazy golden hue, with myriad flecks floating about, ’neath a proud, fluffy snow-white head o’ foam. Okay. Nose is soft and soapy, slightly citric, some lemon peeking through, but far too mild of a hop presence for any kind of an IPA, really. Bitter, citric attack on the tongue from the start, doing a fine ride through the mouth...sticks around with admirable aplomb. Bright and brash. (The alcohol sticks out a bit, after a while.) Coats the palate well, with a general hoppiness, flavors of apricot, peach, pineapple. Tasty. I’m liking it more and more. Fullish body, long, bitter, fruity finish, nice, tangy texture. And really tasty. Lip-smacking. Could use a touch more depth and complexity, but there you have it.

Brewed for seabrigth brewery by our friends at coast range brewing company in Gilroy, CA... I thought there was something familiar about this brew. Pours hazy golden color with thin dense head. Aromas are very floral and candy sweet. Flavor is quite complex. First there is plenty of bitterness. This initial bitterness subsides into an earthy maltiness. The beer then becomes very smooth an slick on the tongue. Finishes nice and bitter. Great lacework. Good body on this brew. Quite refreshing and easy to drink. Quite quaffable. I agree with jazz88.. I expect more out of an IIPA.

Courtesy aspidites and stoutlover 72. Hazy orange and 2cm of frothy white head. Crisp nose of fresh, floral, bitter hops and grainy malt. Similar flavor adds some resin, sharp brew. Medium body, just more carbonated than balanced. Could drink a ton of this one. Solid IPA.
