Deep gold, slightly hazy with a small white head. Aroma is spicy and herbal. Malty and sweet with a balance of hops, thin bodied.

Draft at the brewpub - Pours a dark reddish amber in color with a medium white head. Aroma is quite hoppy with more than a little caramel malts to back it up. Flavor was much less hoppy than the aroma lead to believe and the caramel malts were dominant. Pretty good...

Draft at brewPub. This is a very full bodied and warming Ale with plenty of malt up front and a nice Hop finish. Not so much balanced as two beers in one.

On Cask at NERAX 2008 Somerville, MA. Deep amber color. Taste is malty, slightly sour, and continuously caramel that becomes more prominent as you make your way through the glass.

Bottle. Pours cloudy brownish amber with a half inch off white head and decent retention. Not much aroma with a touch of maltiness and that’s about it. The taste was not much more aside from some bitterness.
