Commercial Description:
Our dark ale features a smooth chocolate character from a blend of six different malts. If you think you don't like dark beer, try this one!

Draught, Sebastopol. Body is dark brown. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (roasted grain, chocolate, nuts). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Pretty simple, not much to say.

Draught at the brewery. Beer is clear, dark brown with a small, beige, creamy-frothy, mostly diminishing head.
The aroma is malty with moderate notes of roasted grain, chocolate and coffee; Hoppy with a light note of resin/pine; Yeasty with a trace of soapy basement.
The flavor is moderately sweet, moderately bitter, lightly acidic with a long, light-to-moderately bitter, lightly acidic, lightly sweet finish. Finish is slightly unclean feeling.
The body is medium, the texture is watery and the carbonation is lively.
Not very engaging.

Draft. Dark amber color with an off-white head. Fruity and somewhat malty aroma with some chocolate notes. Chocolate and roasted malt flavor. Thick mouth feel. Not a bad beer but somewhat strange for the style.
