kramer (1866), sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 14, 2007 Draft pint at brewpub. Pours a slightly cloudy dark amber to copper body under a small fairly creamy off-white head with decent retention. Aroma is of crackery and toasted bread maltiness with a nice english hop presence. Some fruity notes as well. Flavor follows aroma, a toasted, biscuity, and slightly fruity maltiness with light to moderate bitterness. Mouthfeel is smooth and with nice soft gentle carbonation making it a very easy drinker. A nice brew, not a whole lot different from the Goldings Special Bitter, but I’m guessing that’s the point.
