savnac (393), Palmer, Alaska, USA Oct 30, 2009 On tap @ Selins Grove. Hazy amber/orange with a dense off white head. Typical Pac NW hop aroma of citrus, pine and some caramel. Very well balanced sweet and bitter flavors, and no detectable alcohol. Medium body with average carbonation a long bitter finish and a creamy mouth feel. The drinkability of this is excellent, just a perfect example of an American IPA. beerbill (1917), Laurel, New York, USA Aug 31, 2009 On draught at the brewpub. Arrived at the table a slightly hazed gold with a moderate linen white head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass and left partial lace. Pleasant aroma of malt and citrus. The flavor begins with a good solid dose of malt followed by an equally solid offering of grapefruit and orange that is both fruity and bitter. The bitterness lingers briefly beyond the swallow. Very nice IPA. MrChopin (620), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 16, 2009 Draft at Selin’s. Transparent orange-amber, small white head. Sweet nose of caramel, some hop citrus, a little alcohol. More fresh nose of citrus and orange, quite bitter, also some pale malt. Silky carbonation. Not as fresh or complex as I would hope, especially in the nose, but still somewhat enjoyable. fredandboboflo (1392), East Setauket, New York, USA Jul 23, 2009 Tap at the brewpub. Aroma of fresh, green hops, cherry pits, grapefruit, nuts, lemon, melon. In the mouth a bunch of solid toffee malt notes come into play with all the luscious, green, juicy hop character. Quite tasty.
