| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 5, 2007 Draught at the brewery. Medium dark brown colored body with a tan head, ample light showing through the edges of the glass. Sharp, bourbony, boozy toasted grass flavor, with charred oats, light vanilla, some cream, dry wood, and a dry, starchy finish. Rich toffee, dry and toasty. Not smoky at all, but high octance and very toasty without having smoke, chocolate or coffee. Good, different, but doesn’t hit the spot. Boozy vanilla extract flavors become almost unbearable half-way through, almost like a "crown royal" booze flavor. Strange. BückDich (4854), McCall, Idaho, USA

Amber brown, light head and lacing. Nose of light roast, subtle sweet fig and raisin. Seems a bit light on the roast and chocolate category. The flavor is sweet, chewy, notes of malt and grass. The finish is herbal and malty, excellent but not a baltic porter by my tastes. goldtwins (4084), Nesconset, New York, USA

Lightly roasted malt and chocolate make up the flavor and the aroma. Tastes like a brown ale to me but with a little alcohol. Light to medium body. Sammy (4049), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
