May 14, 2009 Draft at brewery. Aroma of roasted malt, bitter hops and burnt coffee. Pours black with a dark brown head. Flavor is roasted malt, dark coffee, nuts and alcohol. Huge thick mouthfeel and some alcohol burn in the finish. Quite bitter and dry all of the way through. I asked the barkeep whether there were any plans to age some of this and he said no. He said it was about five months old. Too bad cause I’d like to try this after a year or or two.

Apr 21, 2009 Yum, on tap in Tower. Shared with my girl Amber who hated every drop of it. What else is new? Poured blacker than night with a nice quarter inch of tan head. This is the 2008 10%abv version. Nose is alcohol and malt. Taste has both hints of coffee and chocolate, with subtle alcohol hints through out. Really easy drinking and probably the best brew from sequoia so far. Going back for more this weekend. Funny sign on the wall as you walk in though it read: "Russian Imperial Stout has a two pint limit..." I wonder why?

Nov 18, 2003 Very dark black color with a light tan head. Nice lace. I get no aroma on this one. Nice malty, roasty full flavor full of coffee bean and light alcohol. Nice bubbly feel.

Nov 18, 2003 Black, opaque, with a small beige head. Strong aroma...roasty, coffee, alcohol. The flavor was full of roasted coffee beans...alcohol in the aftertaste. Thick and creamy feel.
