clear copper, wispy white head, bits of drippy lace,
light citrus hop aroma with a hint of sweet crystal malt,
creamy body,
sweet caramel malt flavor, balanced by citrus and floral hops, nice long biter finish,
tame for an IPA and more like a pale by anyone else’s standards

IrishBoy (2686), Bakersfield, California, USA Dec 4, 2007 12 oz bottle from Country Club Liquors; nose of grassy and piney hops; hazy amber with a medium, heavy lacing beige head; flavor of pine, hop bitterness, and some citrus, and caramel; finish lightly bitter. Not bad IPA! CelticBrew (676), The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA Nov 20, 2007 Pours a hazy yellow gold, aroma of hops, pine resins, and wet forrest. Flavour is full bodied, grapefruit and sweet malts. Yikes, easy drinking beer! Very nice IPA! Odeed (1666), Bakersfield, California, USA Oct 29, 2007 (bottle from country club in bakersfield)murky orange/yellow with a small white head.small pine hop aroma with some earth and hay.flavor is of pine hops, earth, spearmint, and some black liquorice.not bad i guess. elnadeau (786), Laguna Niguel, California, USA Oct 15, 2007 Bottle from Hi Time Cellar. Copper pour (I was cutting copper tubing for a homebrewing project while drinking this one), smallish white head. Aroma leans on crystal malt, hops in background. Balance is good here, bitter but sweet caramel handles it. Medium mouthfeel, overall quite satisfying. Could use more hop aroma, but that otherwise this is a nice beer. Wegro (218), Fresno, California, USA Sep 27, 2007 This reminds me of the Full Sail Sunspot IPA I had one time. kind of hazy dark copper with a small head. Smells fruity and tastes the same. balanced caramelly malts and moderate hops. Really fruity. Isn’t a hop monster, hides the alcohol extremely well. The only hint of it being so high is the warming effect a few seconds after it all goes down. A satisfying IPA, not too thick or bitter, but hopheads wouldn’t prefer it to usual suspects. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 17, 2007 Bottle from beer on the wall. I can’t believe I’m only the 3rd to rate this one. At any rate, the pour is chill hazy dark straw color with 2 fingers of off-white head that left long-lasting sheets of lace. The aroma has a nice fruitiness to it, with apricot, peach, and pear notes, plus some hops, honey, and caramelly malt. The palate is medium, with flavor notes of caramel malt, wet hops, spicy peppery notes, and a big fruity taste. This one is very good, and I never, ever would have suspected that it was almost 8% alcohol. realale420 (399), west covina, California, USA Jul 26, 2007 Bottle poured golen in color with a small white head. Aroma was low citrus and pine with a weak caramel malt profile. Taste is tame for an IPA with more malt and yeast esters in the flavor instead of having hops in your face. Alcohol was noticed in the flavor and the finish was semi dry.
