12 oz bottle poured into a tulip. Color is clear golden with frothy white head. Aroma of sweet malt, grain, corn, and mild hops. Taste is sweet with wheat and grain. Crisp medium mouthfeel. Not bad.

Bottle: The aroma consists of sweet corn, grain, and a hint of grassiness. It pours a mostly transparent pale yellow (just a touch of haze) and a half-inch white head that lasts a minute or so. The flavor starts lightly sweet with some hints of grain. There is a faint tart fruitiness in the background. The finish lightly grassy with some faint sweet fruitiness. Light bodied with lively carbonation and a fizzy mouthfeel.

clear pale yellow color, medium white head, slightly lacy. nose of mild grain and corn. sweet graininess in the flavor (perhaps reminicent of corn syrup), offset by a light bitter graininess. medium bodied, oily mouth feel, mildly bitter finish. the sweetness had a corn syrupy feel, but at least was not dominant, as it was offset by a slight bitterness. bottle from cornfield’s cellar.

Single bottle buy at Pat’s Liquors, Porter, Indiana: This poured a clear yellow body with a modest creamy head that soon reduced to a film. The aroma was a sugary sweetness with a touch of grass. It had a grainy sweetness that was cut by the carbonation and a very mild grassy bitterness. Maybe good as a lawnmower beer.

Draft sample at MBGF Summer09. Poured clear pale color with a minimal frothy white head that diminished slowly with virtually no lacing. Medium grainy and small hop aroma. Light to medium body with a thin texture and soft carbonation. Light sweet flavor with a light sweet finish of short duration. Below average soft brew.

Brought from Michigan by a friend. A white head that has just a hint of gold sits atop a clear golden beer. Moderate carbonation. A sour grainy and fruity aroma. Just a dab of honey. Flavor is kind of hard to find. Again, grain with malt. Passion fruit and green apples. Late forming dry bitter aftertaste. Some decent effervescence in the mouth. This beer improved as it warmed but, as is typical with the style, there just wasn’t enough going on.
