yayforbeer (641), Orange Park, Florida, USA Mar 9, 2007 12 oz snifter at the Seven Bridges Brewpub. The beer was originally brewed as a special brew for the New Years party. I dont know if they had some left from the party or if they brewed another special batch but this was hand pulled from cask. The beer was mahogany with a stiff, thick off-white head that laced everywhere it touched. Very good looking in the snifter. The aroma was enticing, piney hoppy. Flavor was very smooth, but exactly on style. Rich caramel and resinous hops, followed by a nice bitter finish. But it wasnt an extreme flavor or hopping as in the Old Ruffian I just had. No rough edges, smooth as silk, but with all the expected flavors and aromas. Easily the best beer I have had the brewpub. A superb beer for a brewpub. I sure hope they make this available again in the future.
