On tap at the Seven Bridges brewpub. Pours a clear deep gold with white head. The aroma has notes of coriander, apple and a bit of wheat. The taste begins with coriander spice and a modest rush of cherry, cranberry, apple and apricot fruitiness. The spices and fruit head into a fading after taste with a light sense of cherry sweet/tart candy persisting for a while.

This beer was brewed by the brewmaster, Eric Luman, and Jack Greigo, winner of The CASK Brewclub brewers contest. Jack’s winning recipe was used to brew a large batch of the beer at the Seven Bridges Brewpub, and a portion of the sales went to support The CASK Homebrewers Club. I sampled the beer on Tuesday August 11, at the special party for its release. Seven Bridges had a roasted 200lb. hog to go with with the beer, and it was gone in less than 2 hours! The beer was very cloudy bright golden, with considerable yeast in suspension. Malty, wheaty, and spicy, with orange peel, coriander, and chamomile in the recipe. Very tasty and well balanced, an interesting brew to drink. Perhaps the beer lost some of its character by the time the previous rater got to sample it or maybe he just doesn’t like Belgian Wits, but it certainly deserved a better rating than that. Many thanks to Eric and Jack for a great idea, a tremendous brewing effort, and an excellent beer as the result!

Tap @ brewpub. pours golden, white head.No sign of cloudiness. Aroma of light wheat, some spices; coriander and apple fruit. Flavor, spices and coriander with hints of fruits, apple, and some malts. Seemed unfiltered. Nothing spectacular.
