| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 12, 2008 Tap at the Seven Bridges Brewpub in Jacksonville. Served in a 12 oz snifter. Clear dark brown beer with a tan head that soon drops away. Nice sweet malty aroma with the unmistakable aroma of bourbon. This beer is an adaptation of the Sweet Magnolia Brown Ale in the regular lineup, but the bourbon barrel aging gives it a completely different character. I am not a fan of the regular brown ale but this version was pretty good. Sweet and malty and a solid bourbon flavor along with the aroma. I like bourbon and found this beer to be enjoyable. Good enough to have more than one.
