BeerBlockaid (538), Jacksonville, Florida, USA May 20, 2009 I finally made it up to Seven Bridges. Being unable to afford anything on their menu, I sought my calories in brew. I had the IPA. Pours amber colour. Looks good. Smells like an IPA. Taste like a ESB. That’s ok. It’s a microbrewery inside a restaurant. Decent bitterness, drink-ability is session-able, and palate is warmed. How about those made up words. Some citrus hints and candied malts inside this thing. A few spices but really, the bitter overpowers their subtle attributes. Overall I got buzzed before the new Star Trek movie with my younger brother and that’s pretty damn cool in my opinion. Ibrew2or3 (2714), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Feb 17, 2009 Big thanks to jcwattsrugger for bringing this puppy to our weekly tasting. Pours deep gold with spotty white head. The aroma is bold spicy rye mixing with what might be hops with a bit of spiciness. There is a bit of an off note too. The taste has the same affect with spicy rye goodness, a thin layer of plastic bandaid and some sweet maltiness. I love the rye-ness of this brew. It ends with lingering spice and floral hops that head into the after taste. jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Feb 17, 2009 on tap&growler (courtesy of Scott/Eric/Tim/Amy)-pours a rich off white to patchy head and hazy gold color. Aroma is citrus and resin, secondary sweet medium malt. Taste is citrus/orange/lemon/resin/spice hops, secondary sweet medium malt/rye, coriander. sebletitje (1880), Tampa, Florida, USA Feb 13, 2009 courtesy of jcwattsrugger.
Growler, pours amber with off white head.
Aroma some light smoke and band-aid, dominant rye aroma.
Taste, tasted infected had this industrial mouthfeel, some light smoke wood, malts and plenty of rye with mildly bitter hops Very basic gunhaver (1024), Tampa, Florida, USA Feb 12, 2009 Bottle, courtesy jcwattsrugger. Pours a dark brass color, with a big white head and lots of lacing. Nose has tons of dry rye, some citrus and pine, distant medicinal note. Flavor has big rye, citrus and pine, woodsy notes, and some wheaty spice oddities. Balanced. Tons of rye gives it a unique character. Tasty and interesting. markwise (1132), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA Feb 12, 2009 Thanks jcwatssrugger for the share. Pours a clear brown gold with a nose of spicey rye, phenols, malt, and some piney hops. Flavor is a ton of rye malt in the flavor, but is rye and hops through and through. Some barely noticeable band-aid flavors. Very interesting and enjoyable beer. yayforbeer (641), Orange Park, Florida, USA Feb 10, 2008 Pint on tap at the Seven Bridges Brewpub in Jacksonville FL. Typical good brewpub looks with amber beer and medium white head. Mild IPA hop aroma. Pretty good flavor, malty and hoppy as in the regular IPA, but with the slight added flavor of rye malt. An interesting twist on one of the regular lineup beers, but not a huge difference in flavor. Drinkable and enjoyable.
