Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Sep 29, 2007 On cask at the brewpub. Clear brown with a small tan head. Excellent lace. Sweet, nutty nose, lots of maltiness, toasty. Rich flavors of lightly toasted malt and sweet nuts. Medium creamy body. I liked this one quite a bit! Retorp (2154), Tampa, Florida, USA Jun 16, 2007 Updated: Mar 21, 2008Cask, Very sweet malt aroma that definitely smells of what is probably some almond extract, but as I love a malt bomb I liked the aroma. The body is dark brown with a ridiculously lasting creamy tan head. The fore holds toasted malts, almond and other nuts and sweet dark fruit. As this was from a cask the head and lacing were beautiful. Easy to enjoy. yayforbeer (641), Orange Park, Florida, USA Apr 25, 2007 Pint at the Seven Bridges Brewpub in Jacksonville. Hand pulled from cask. Rather average looking brown ale with a white head that soon fell away. Slight malty aroma. Flavor did not appeal to me at all, especially after having two other excellent beers there. Flavor was astringent malt, lacking in hops and bitterness. Last beer of the night and I didn’t even finish the glass. Subpar and not representative of the brewpubs usual standards. Really poor for an offering on cask.
